December CEO recap: 2024 milestones and the exciting road ahead
As we step into 2025, I can’t help but feel both pride and excitement as I reflect on what we accomplished in 2024.
Key milestones from 2024
Despite limited resources, we took bold steps in 2024 to solidify ScaffSense’s position as a future leader in scaffolding monitoring. Let me share some key milestones from the past year and how we’re preparing for the exciting road ahead:
- Conducted successful pilot tests in Stockholm, confirming the technical proof of concept for our patented scaffolding stability monitoring system.
- Started building a strong team focused on industrializing the product and preparing for market leadership.
- Continued developing our patent portfolio to ensure ScaffSense’s unique position in digital scaffolding monitoring.
- Engaged with potential industry partners across 4 different countries, including Sweden.
- Started final product verification at multiple sites in Sweden, together with intended future partners.
- Initiated subcontractor agreements to enable series production start in Q1 2025.
- Started building a strong corporate culture that will permeate the company and how we interact with customers and partners during the expected expansion phase in the coming years.
- Created a scalable and cost-effective organizational structure to meet growth targets.
- Set clear customer acquisition goals for 2025 to drive our expansion.
In the plans for 2025
With Q1 2025 already upon us, our primary focus is to finalize the industrialization and ensure the entire supply chain meets the highest standards. In Q1, we aim to CE mark our products, affirming compliance with EU directives for safety, health and environmental standards. The remaining year will then shift towards marketing, product demonstration and sales efforts, all aimed at establishing ScaffSense as a leader in increasing safety and productivity within the scaffolding industry. Our work aligns closely with the UN’s agenda 2030, particularly Goal 8.8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth.
ScaffSense more relevant than ever
Our future customers are already everywhere. During December 2024, I visited major cities across Europe and the US, where I observed numerous scaffolding projects that could benefit from taking the next step in digitalization by implementing ScaffSense’s real-time monitoring solution to enhance both safety and productivity.
The December 2024 analysis of Kebni AB by Carnegie also highlighted the significant potential in our sector. According to the report, digital technical aids for scaffolding are expected to grow at an annual rate of 13.2% (CAGR) between 2023 – 2030. This growth far outpaces the scaffolding industry’s 6,5% growth rate, driven primarily by Asia. These numbers reaffirm that ScaffSense is positioned at the right time with the right solution, addressing both market needs and global trends in safety, productivity and digitalization.
Finally, I would like to thank our owners, Solideq Group AB and Kebni AB. None of this would be possible without your trust and support. We are excited to embark on this journey together in 2025, working towards our mission to create a safer and more profitable construction industry worldwide.
Sincerely,
Martin Elovsson
CEO ScaffSense AB

October recap: Clear market need and exciting advances for ScaffSense
Once again, reality shows that Scaffsense products are needed in the market to increase safety and drive efficiency on construction sites around the world. A few weeks ago, a scaffolding outside Bilbao, Spain collapsed because of the storm Kirk’s advance. Fortunately, no people were killed, but large capital values were lost, and the construction project was halted pending the accident investigation and the reconstruction of new scaffolding.
New CEO to bring ScaffSense to the market
After the successful first pilot test of ScaffSense, the world’s first smart stability alarm for scaffolding, the company is now intensifying its efforts by recruiting Martin Elovsson as the new CEO. Kebni and the scaffolding company Solideq are behind the initiative.
